Damian Lyons Lowe – Chief Executive
Before founding Survation, Damian worked for 12 years as a director of sector specialist research to the UK for US financial services companies Cowen & Company, Societe Generale, Jefferies and Thomas Weisel Partners.
Damian acts as a strategic advisor to organisations across the political spectrum, to lobby groups, charities and membership organisations. Survation have been pollster to The Mail On Sunday since January 2011, The Daily Mirror since August 2011 and more recently are research partners for Sky News.
Ros Baston – Political and Election Law Consultant
Ros Baston is an independent political and election law expert and director of Baston Legal Ltd. She was previously lead adviser on political regulation at the Electoral Commission and was the single point of contact at the Commission for the Yes and No campaigns at the 2011 AV referendum.
Patrick Briône has had a long interest in politics and current affairs. Since graduating from the University of Oxford with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics he has worked with the independent think-tank CentreForum conducting policy research. He co-authored two published policy papers with CentreForum, on ‘Employee empowerment‘ and ‘Employee ownership‘, before joining Survation in March 2012. His political interests include studying the effects of different electoral systems and behavioural economics, including framing biases and the psychology of voting.
Felix Shaw is a graduate of International Relations & Politics at the University of Sheffield and is a contributor to Future Foreign Policy, an online foreign affairs publication and think tank. Originally from Lancashire, Felix has a keen interest in international and domestic politics and has worked at the constituency office of former Foreign Secretary and MP for Blackburn Jack Straw.
Stuart Jackaman – Head of Statistics CFA CAIA
After graduating with a degree in Mathematics from Pembroke College Oxford University in 1996, Stuart gained over ten years experience in the city before moving into financial markets training with BPP in 2007. Stuart worked primarily in the fund management industry for Close Investments with a focus on portfolio management and equity trading, and also has experience in hedge funds, derivatives and fixed income investment. Stuart teaches towards the SII certificates in Regulations, Securities and Derivatives, all three levels of the CFA® Program, both levels of CAIA, the IMC and a wide range of financial product courses. Stuart also teaches masters level courses in statistics.
