Survation UK Politics Poll 5-6 February 2021

Labour poll drop with Johnson enjoying ‘vaccine’ roll out boost

Survation’s latest UK voting intention poll, shows the Conservatives  expanding its lead over Labour to 6 points. The Conservatives, although dropping a point to 39%,  have increased their lead as a result of a 5 point Labour drop to 33%. At the same time, the Liberal Democrats and Green Party appear to have been the direct beneficiaries of Labour’s poll drop this month, both picking up 2 points.

With Boris Johnson’s personal approval ratings picking up 12 points in a month, and net favourability rating for the Government increasing by 13 points, it looks like the public perception of a successful vaccine roll out programme is benefiting the Government with voters, whilst in this month’s poll not directly increasing the Conservative Party’s own voter intention.

Boris Johnson has increased his net favourability rating by 12 points to -3%, while Keir Starmer has seen a 5 point reduction but still has an overall positive ratings of +3%.

The Government’s favourability has increased since a month ago by 7 points to 38%, while there is a 5 point drop in its unfavourable rating. This is overall a 13% net rating improvement for the Government.

Boris Johnson leads Keir Starmer on who would make the best Prime Minister, up 1 point to 40% from last month, while Keir Starmer drops 3 points to 34%.

Survation polled 1,003 people online, aged over 18 years, living in the UK,  5-6 February 2021.
