The Brit Awards – The ResultsThe result of our survey on the public vote categories of this year’s Brit awards are now viewable on the following link;
We have never conducted a Brit Awards survey before and our survey may well not be representative of the online vote, but if our results are even partly correct there look likely to be some upsets this year.
Best British Single
We show a 3-way fight between Matt Cardle, Florence & The Machine and Plan B. Our survey group likely exaggerates Matt Cardle support as we are the UK’s number one source of X Factor information so looking at the figures we would guess that Florence has a decent chance of winning best single. However, we are also aware that favourites “The Wanted” are being heavily promoted by their record lable and by Capital Radio – so it will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow night.
British Breakthrough Act
Looking at our data in this category, we have Ellie Goulding and Tinie Tempah jossling for the award. Unlike the bookies however, we have Ellie Goulding in the lead. It has been a big year for both acts and again it will be interesting to see the winner as we again predict a non-consensus outcome.
International Breakthrough Act
With the mighty Justin Bieber, the 5-million-retweeting-prince-of-twitter present in this category surely he’s a slam dunk? Well, not according to our data. Could this be Bruno Mar’s night? Again, we can’t deny that Bieber’s army of fans may well get him over the line in this category – we can’t really model the teenage fans accurately.
